The purview of bushwalking

Your key to stay fit and enhance your stamina for adventure – bushwalking involves more than barely strolling on the cross-country trails and smelling wild flowers on the way. It also represents strenuous physical activities like setting out on a trying hiking trail and crossing creeks and climbing mountains on the way. The additional skills required during bushwalking include ability to read the maps and trampling over rocks, bushlands et al, where there are no tracks.

Bushwalking for the novice

If you are new to bushwalking, you can take short trips to the nearby country walks at stone’s throw from your chalet. Gradually, you may take longer walks and even short night trips.

If bushwalking is your area of special interest, come to the Alps of Australia for Bushwalking between November and early May. The wholesome terrain looks its charismatic best during summers — right from the mild woods to the arid outback and forests on the mountains to snow capped Alpine ranges.
